ACTUAL, AMAZING PHOTOS ILLUSTRATING THE EVENTS
PORTRAYED IN TONY LEVIN'S BOOK
BEYOND THE BASS CLEF

As I read Tony's new book, it brought back a lot of memories. And some of those memories were captured on film by me at the time they happened. I thought it might bring to life some of the stuff Tony wrote about by making a few of the photos available. This isn't meant to slight Tony's fine pen and ink artwork portraying some of these events which reshaped music history. . . It's also a way to prove that I was doing something (though not much more) than just standing around.

So read the book, either by buying a copy over at Tony's site, or checking out a couple of chapters that he's posted. And then see it as it happened. It's almost like being there...

We'll put up more pictures as Tony posts more chapters online.

Here's the aftermath of Tony's cut head backstage at the Hammersmith Odeon, London, December 1978. (That's real bass player blood still oozing from the center of the band aid).
