I know it's a good, if somewhat overused name. It wasn't when I started using it in the early 1970s. But, now it's a registered US trademark in several classes. "Synergy®" was first used in interstate commerce in 1975 with the release of Electronic Realizations for Rock Orchestra. The first Synergy® trademark was issued in 1981. The United State Commissioner of Patents and Trademarks has issued a third Certificate of Registration for Synergy® in international class 9 Registration No. 3,819,992, dated July 20, 2010. All three trademarks are curently active and enforcable under United States law. If you have any questions about a use of Synergy you've encountered, or if you would like to license the trademark SYNERGY® for a use that is covered by my registrations please email us at trademark@synergy-emusic.com. I'll run it past my trademark and intellectual property protection lawyers for consideration. It should be obvious; do a trademark search before you start a business.
